SCHOOL HOURS:

Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

No before or extended care is available. The PDO program operates two days a week. The classroom opens at 8:50 AM, and the front doors will be locked until then.

For security, front doors remain locked from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. If you arrive after 9:30 AM, please call us to gain entry.

Pickup is from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Late pickups result in a $5.00 fee after 2:05 PM and $1.00 per minute after 2:10 PM.

Classes start at 9:00 AM. Timely arrival is crucial for a healthy learning environment!

ARRIVING AND DEPARTING:

Only parents and authorized adults are allowed to pick up children. You must sign them in and out each school day without exception. If someone other than you will be picking up your child, you must inform the teacher in advance. When leaving your child, keep your departure brief; crying usually settles down quickly.

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Do not block or park under the covered walkway during drop-off or pick-up. Use the parking spaces on the left side of the lot and those at the back of the building. Do not leave children unattended in your vehicle during drop-off or pick-up.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION:

Before your child can participate in our program, it is essential to have a “Treatment of Minor Consent Form” on file. This important document is a requirement from medical facilities, ensuring that they have the necessary permission to provide emergency medical care if your child needs it. If your child requires urgent medical attention, they will be promptly transported to the nearest hospital equipped to handle such situations. Please be aware that all medical expenses incurred during this emergency treatment will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. It is vital to ensure that the consent form is accurate and up to date for the safety and well-being of your child. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO BRING:

Please Ensure All Belongings Are Clearly Labeled with Your Child’s Name!

1. Backpack & Water Bottle: Each child should bring a sturdy backpack that can comfortably hold extra clothes as well as their school folder. The folder is essential for transporting important notes, upcoming events, and homework assignments to and from school. Additionally, please provide a durable water bottle, filled exclusively with water, to keep your child hydrated throughout the day.

2. Lunch: Please be aware that lunch is not provided at school. However, we do supply snacks that will be handed out at designated snack times. While we are happy to assist with opening or unwrapping snack items, please note that teachers are unable to heat or refrigerate any food items brought to school. We recommend sending nutritious snack options that your child can easily manage on their own.

3. Change of Clothes: It is important to pack a complete change of clothes for your child, including a shirt, pants, and socks. For those children who are still in diapers, make sure to include at least five clean diapers each day to accommodate for any needs. Please remember that children aged 3 and older must be potty trained. Ensuring all clothing items are labeled with your child’s name will help prevent any mix-ups.

4. Dress Code: We kindly request that you dress your child in closed-toe shoes, which will protect their feet from the wood chips found in the playground and enable them to run and play freely without fear of injury. For little girls, we suggest wearing dresses or tunics paired with comfortable shorts underneath to ensure they can move easily while still looking cute and put-together.

REGISTRATION AND TUITION FEES:

For the 2025-2026 school year, the registration fee is set at $50.00. Tuition is $75.00 per week, but you can take advantage of a discount by paying the full month’s tuition upfront, which totals $250.00.

Please be aware that we only accept payments through credit card, debit card, Cash App, or Zelle. Checks and cash will not be accepted.

Tuition payments are required to be made on the first day of attendance each week. For example, if your child is enrolled in classes that take place on both Mondays and Wednesdays, it’s important to make sure that their tuition for that week is paid by the time you drop them off on Monday morning. This ensures that all financial obligations are settled up front, allowing your child to focus on their lessons without any interruptions. By handling the payment on Monday, you also support the smooth operation of the class schedule for all students. It is important to note that if the tuition is not paid by the due date, your child will not be permitted to attend class until the payment is made.

In addition, please be aware that a late fee of $25.00 will be added to your account for each week that the tuition remains unpaid while your child is enrolled. We recognize that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we encourage you to communicate with our office if you are having difficulties with your payment or experiencing any delays. Open communication will help us better understand your situation and work with you to find a solution.

WITHDRAWING STUDENT:

We ask for a two-week notification if you must pull your child out of the PDO program.

IMMUNIZATIONS

All students must submit updated immunization records or a signed and dated Texas state exemption letter.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Birthdays are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child! If you would like to contribute a special treat for your child's birthday, please let their teacher know in advance. We kindly ask that all treats be unopened and store-bought, and to ensure the safety of all children, please avoid any peanut products.

For our holiday celebrations, teachers will provide a signup sheet for items to bring. We look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter together! Thank you for your cooperation in making these occasions enjoyable for everyone.

IMPORTANT DATES:

We will be following the New Caney Independent School District Academic Calendar for the current school year. This means that all scheduled school days, holidays, and designated workdays will align with the official calendar set by the district. Throughout the year, you will receive timely notifications regarding any days when the school will be closed in observance of specific holidays or for designated staff workdays. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate our academic schedule together.
